Information of the keratin hair extension

A Keratin stick is heated in a hot melt gun. A small amount of natural Remy hair is then bonded to a small section of your own hair to add length and thickness. The Keratin Bond can withstand both heat and chemical treatments. An adhesive remover is used to remove the hair extensions dissolving the glue bonds to a powdery substance.

Keratin Fusion Extensions are very hard wearing extensions. They can only stay in for up to 12 weeks to ensure no matting of the hair between the extension and your scalp occurs. Keratin Fusion Extensions offer a natural appearance for thickness, and a wide range of fashion colors for highlights.

Keratin Fusion Extensions can last up to 3 months depending on your hair type and aftercare. You must attend monthly maintenance sessions to extend the life of your extensions and get longer wear out of them. If let much longer than 12 weeks your own hair at the root may become matted and it will become more difficult remove the extensions.

When applied professionally the Keratin Fusion Extensions are almost undetectable. Use the 100% Remy Human Hair and blend the colors to match your own hair perfectly. The Keratin Fusion Extensions feel like your own hair. You may even forget that you are even wearing them.

Keratin Fusion Extensions must only be fitted by qualified Natural Length Stylists. You will be advised on maintenance when you have them fitted. We will also advise you on aftercare and suitable products designed for use with Keratin Fusion. It is also advisable to use an extension friendly brush to get the most out of your extensions.

The most important advice for Keratin Fusion extensions is that the removal must be carried out by a Natural Lengths Technician within 12 weeks. During the removal you will notice you lose some hair. Your hair sheds on a daily basis as part its natural process. It is normal to loose 50 hairs a day! Just because you have extensions in doesn’t mean that this process stops. It continues but since your hair is held together by the extensions the hair is trapped in the installation and, therefore, not falling out into your sink or latching on to your comb or brush.

When you remove your hair extensions, all of the normal hair shed is then released and it appears as though a lot of hair is coming out all at once. If you are wearing your hair extensions for 8 to 12 weeks that’s around 5,000 hairs shed during this time naturally. The difference is that immediately after removing extensions your hair will look shorter to you, not only because you just removed the hair extensions but because from your perspective a large amount of hair has fallen out suddenly.

How to care the human hair wig

For whatever reason you have decided to begin wearing a wig, human hair wigs are the most natural and durable fibers to make wigs from although they are the most difficult to take care of since every time you get them wet they lose the style just like your hair does. It is different from synthetic wigs. While you can't make them be exactly like your own hair with the proper care they can look great and last for quiet sometime.
To achieve a natural appearance and unique color variations, all human hair wigs are chemically processed.  To give your wig the longest life, it is very important to use sulfate-free hair care products that are specifically made for chemically processed hair.  To wash your human hair wig, follow these steps:
  1. Detangle the wig using a wig brush or comb.  Start at the ends and work upwards to the base of the cap.
  2. Rinse the wig in cold water, with the water flowing in the same direction of the hair to avoid tangling.  Do not soak your human hair wig in a basin.  This will cause the hair to tangle and mat together.
  3. Using your fingertips and phosphate free shampoo specifically for human hair wigs, distribute the shampoo evenly throughout the hair.
  4. Rinse with cold water to remove shampoo.  Rinse so that the water is flowing in the same direction as the hair.
  5. Remove excess water by gently patting with a towel. Do not wring or squeeze.
  6. Condition the wig with wig conditioner, using your fingertips to distribute the conditioner evenly throughout the hair.
  7. Remove the conditioner by rinsing with cold water.  To remove excess water, pat gently with a soft towel.  Do not squeeze or wring.  Allow the wig to air dry on a folding wig stand or a tall can of hairspray.

Make sure you brush the hair daily and apply some leave-in conditioners to keep the hair soft and moist. A good leave-in hair treatment can keep the hair from drying. But remember not to put too much, otherwise, there will be a build up and make the hair feel too heavy. If the hair feels too dry or heavy with too much hair care products, you should wash the hair with good shampoo and conditioner. You may apply products such as Bio-Silk Therapy to keep hair manageable.

You may apply styling gel or mousse on wavy hair. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes the hair dry. It is best to air dry the hair but you can also blow-dry with low to medium heat. (Too much heat may damage/dry out the hair.)

For the WET & WAVE hair such as the French Refined and the European Wave, you may test the wave by wetting a small portion away from the rest. Place the hair on a desk, a small portion away from the rest, spray some water, and let it soak for about 15 seconds. Hold the top of the hair while it is on the desk and gently brush the wet portion from the bottom and watch it wave. Towel dry and scrunch it to wave up more. Blondes / lighter / mixed colors go through more excessive processing than darker colors. Therefore, the wave and condition may not be as good.

The tips to care the virgin hair extension

Virgin hair extensions use high-quality, unprocessed human hair from a single donor, making them more costly than mass-produced, synthetic varieties. How to care the virgin hair extension to make it last much longer with good quality.

Avoid washing your hair for 48 hours after having virgin hair extensions fitted to give the extensions time to bond securely with your natural hair.

Keep your head in an upright position while washing your hair so that water flows down over the hair. Gently stroke shampoo through your hair, from roots to tips. Do not rub.

Use a conditioner formulated for human hair extensions after shampooing. Gently stroke the conditioner through your hair from roots to tips, avoiding the bonded areas near the scalp.

Pat your hair dry with a towel to remove excess moisture after washing. Separate extensions at the roots, and use a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles, working upwards from tips to roots.

Blow-dry, color, straighten or curl your extensions as you would your natural hair. Avoid excessive bleaching and pulling on the extensions as you style them.

Brush your hair once or twice a day using a hair extension brush to distribute natural oils and prevent matting. Be gentle to minimize shedding and breakage.

Wear your hair in a loose plait at night time to keep your extensions tangle-free as you sleep.

How to create a wig style

Synthetic Wigs or human hair wigs are fashionable and just like a beautiful clothing. It also need to be design at the beginning.

DRAW YOUR SETTING PATTEREN

Now that you know what you are trying to do, put your plan down on paper.Use this blank form to sketch out the placement of all rollers, pincurls ,braids, and so on.

Indicate what direction each roller should be rolled in and if any should be set over base or with drag on the hair. Make any notes that will help you as you work.

SET YOUR WIG

Block your wig on a can vas block, get out the pins and rollers, and begin setting. Follow the pattern you have planned out and drawn, setting from the front hairline down the back of the head, ending with the hair at the nape of the neck. This will make sure the hair is evenly distributed in the rollers。An important note- the material your wig is made of will determine the method you use to set it.

For human hair and animal hair wigs.

The curl is set in the hair by a combination of heat an drying. You must completely wet the hair as you set each piece.Using a styling products such as gel or setting lotion will also help the curl to hold. When you finish setting the wig, use a spray bottle to completely wet the wit again before you put it into the wig dryer.(The first hair you set will already be partially dry by the time you finish setting all the hair) Set the wig dryer on high for at least 60 minutes.

For synthetic wigs-the curl is set in the hair by steam. You can dampen each section of hair as you set it(for control) but it does not have to be dripping wet. After you are finished rolling and pinning all of the hair, steam each roller, pincurl, and so on, with a steamer for at least 30 seconds. You will be able to see the hair move sightly as it meets the steam. Once you have steamed the wig, spray it with water and put it in the wig dryer on low for at least 60 minutes.

COMB OUT THE SET

Once the wig is completely dry , allow it to cool to room temperature. This will help lock the set into the hair .Your curls will loosen a bit if you take the set out while the hair is still warm.Test a section o f hair before you begin styling. At the nape of the neck, unroll a roller-if the hair seems damp, roll it back up and stick it back in the wig dryer for another 30 minutes. When the wig is ready to be styled, begin taking out your rollers. pincurls, and so on from the nape of the neck up . This is the opposite direction from the one in which you set the wig. Unroll each roller.

Setting your wig is basic work for a full wig.

The way to care the hair extensions

Hair extensions are wonderful. You can add length to your hair or a beautiful streak of color. They can cover a bad cut or color and tie your hair in a ponytail. With all the glorious things they can do, can you return the favor? Proper care of extensions ensure they'll be around for a while.

Washing:

Keep your hair clean. Hair tangles when dirt and sweat build up, wash your hair after exercise, swimming etc. Brush your hair and remove all tangles before washing it. Wash your hair going in a downward motion. Use a good quality shampoo, your stylist can advise you what product is best for your hair. When lots of water is added at once to very dry hair, hair can swell up and tangle. Gradually wet the hair and brush gently before you completely wash it. This is more common with less expensive extension hair.

Styling:

When brushing use a soft bristle brush, start at the ends of your hair and gently work your way up. Always brush in a downward motion. Do not brush harshly. Brush your hair 2 or 3 times a day. Heat is your one of your hair's biggest enemy, the more you use it, the shorter your hair extensions will last. Be careful with the use of blowdryers and curling irons. It is best to let your hair dry naturally.

Exercise:

Wear a cap when swimming or keep your hair out of the water. Chlorine and salt water can cause the hair to tangle and mat up. It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim or exercise

Sleeping:

Never sleep on wet hair, make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.

Hair care products:

Use a good (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft. Don't over do it. To much conditioner or any other hair care product can cause a build up and tangling. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes hair dry. Ask your stylist what would be the best products for your hair.

Hair treatments:

Don't perm, color or any other chemical process to your own hair extensions. Let your stylist take care of that.

Here are a couple of special technology for your to design your Synthetic Wigs or human hair wigs

TEASING AND STUFFING

You may find that you need to tease (or “backcomb”)a wig in order for it to have the amount of volume you desire. Lightly teasing hair can also be a good way to fix roller breaks. To tease the hair, begin with a small section.Use your tease the hair , begin with a roller breads.Use your teasing/smoothing brush to comb the hair downwards toward the scalp while you continue to grip the section of hair.

Repeat the process until all of the hair in the section is packed down near the scalp. Spritz with hairspray, and then move to the next section. It is important to be spraying the hair constantly with hairspray as you work.If you only spray the outermost layer, the teased hair inside and underneath will collapse and not give you the look you want. Once you have finished teasing the hair, smooth the top section so the hairstyle looks neat. Use your teasing/smoothing brush to just lightly brush the top layer of hair in the direction of the final style.Finish with aerosol hairspray.

If the hairstyle you are trying to achieve requires a huge amount of tease to get the volume you want, it may make more sense to use a rat instead. A rat is any sort of hair pad or stuffing.

You can buy premade rats or make your own. You can make a rat by collecting loose bits of hair, forming it into a ball, and wrapping a hairnet around it several times. To use the rat, pull the hair away from the area you want the rat and bobby-pin the rat to your wig where you desire volume.Form X-shapes with your pins to firmly anchor the rat in place.Lightly tease the hair that is going to lie on top of the rat and smooth it over. Pin the hair over the rat so that it stays hidden,Finish with hairspray.

WIRE FRAMES

Some historical hairstyle are so large than mere teasing or stuffing will still not yield you the results that you want. In these cases, It may be better to build a wire frame to attach to your wig. You can then dress the hair over the frame and easily achieve a great deal of height or width. The frame will also allow your wig to be lightweight on your performer`s head.

Frame is so important for a wig and it`s up to wigs basic structure.

Easily to clean and maintain and keeping the wigs

The wigs is wearing for some time, which has to be cleaned.

The wigs before washing, we must take the hair combed smooth (open gradually upward from the tail comb, or they may damage the hair.)

To take the cap of the wig outside, in turn, take the right amount of moisturizing shampoo into warm water (20 ° C or so) in stir, soak the wig into the water after 5 minutes and gently rub clean, and rinse with water.

Take appropriate hair conditioner into warm water Stir, then put the wigs into water for 10 minutes, rinse with clean water.

Gently pat with a towel drops of water, shake off the drops gently comb the hair naturally, placed in a ventilated place to dry naturally.

Hair is completely dry after wig to collate starting type.

TIPS: different wig materials have different considerations, chemical fiber yarn hair can not be washed with hot, can not use a hair dryer or other tools stereotypes, not in direct sunlight exposure; hair hair dryer can be slightly stereotypes, available networks corrals hair, in order to increase the the fluffy (long hair); chemical fiber yarn and hair mixed hair available detergent instead of shampoo cleaning.
